Albert A. Obermiller Services Held Sunday Albert A. Obermiller was born in Grand Island, Nebr. to Hans and Margaret Obermiller on Dec. 5, 1881, and passed away at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 25 days on April 30, 1959 at his son Irvine's home in Loup City. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 3 at 2:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian church by Rev. J. Caro Russell Jr. with burial at the Kelso cemetery at Farwell. Mrs. F. J. Leschinsky was organist and Mrs. Jack Charlton, soloist with arrangements by Steele Funeral Home. Pall bearers were Elmer, Walter, and Wesley Obermiller, Sidney and Fred Wichman and Leo Lewandowski. He came with his parents to Howard County where he received his entire education in the Kelso Precinct schools. He assisted his father in carrying on the home farm up to his twenty-second year at which time he started for himself. He was united in marriage to Isabelle Irvine on Jan. 6, 1903. Seven children were born to this union, five sons and two daughters. They made their home near Farwell until the spring of 1918 at which time they moved to Loup City after disposing of their farm. In 1928, they moved to a farm north of Loup City where they resided for 19 years. They retired from the farm in 1948. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Survivors are sons George, Harold, and Irvine of Loup City and daughters, Mrs. George Heil, Loup City and Mrs. Arthur Kieborz of Litchfield; eight grandchildren and four step grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Minnie Nagel of Washougal, Wash., Mrs. Dora Obermiller of Lakeworth, Florida, Mrs. Carrie Wichman, Farwell, Mrs. Hal (Freida) Rea, Washougal, Wash, and one brother, Harry Obermiller of Grand Island. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle, in 1957; sons Leonard and Orville; granddaughter Lois Heil, and six brothers and one sister.
