WRIGHT TAKES PLACE AT HASTINGS Relatives in the city received the sad news Monday afternoon of the death of Mrs. Lydia Wright, which occurred at her home in Hastings, Neb., at 2 p.m. Monday following an illness from gall stones. The deceased, formerly Miss Lydia Lassen, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lassen, and was born in this city on March 20, 1875, being 46 years of age. She was one of a family of fourteen children born to Mr. and Mrs. Lassen, ten girls and four boys. Of this number seven of the daughters, together with the father, have preceded her in death. Besides her daughter, Evelyn, aged 13, she is survived by her aged mother. Mrs. John Lassen, who resides with her son Sherman, as also three sisters, Mrs. Hans Obermiller, of Farwell, Neb.; Mrs. John Bushman, of this city, Mrs. Agatha Swiney, of Tacoma, Washington; and four brothers, Conrad and Sherman Lassen of Hall county, and John Lassen, and Harry Lassen, residing in Canada. The remains were brought to this city Tuesday, funeral services taking place on Wednesday afternoon at 3:15 o'clock from St. Paul's English Lutheran church. Rev. Harman officiating. Friends of the family desiring to view the remains may do so at the Geddes undertaking parlors at any time prior to the funeral. Burial will take place in the Grand Island cemetery.
