The community was saddened and grieved when the news was received last Monday afternoon that Fred Obermiller had passed away. On April 21, 1896, he was married to Miss Amelia Bernhagen of Boelus, and there were born to this union five sons, Walter, Elmer, Frederick, Delbert and Wesley, all at home. He was a kind and loving husband and father, a kind-hearted neighbor, and friend to all with whom he came in contact; honest in all his dealings, and he will be greatly missed by his family and all his neighbors and friends. Those remaining to mourn besides his wife and sons are three brothers and four sisters, namely: Mrs. Minnie Nagal (Nagel), Washougal, Wash; John Obermiller, Farwell; Mrs. Carrie Wichman, Farwell; Albert Obermiller, Loup City; Harry Obermiller, Ashton; Mrs. Freida Nelson, Washougal, Wash; and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.
