67-Year Resident of W'gal. Passes Washougal - Mrs. Minnie W. Nagel, 91-year old Washougal housewife and a resident of the community since 1892, died Thursday, Oct 8, in Vancouver. Born Nov. 11, 1867, in Grand Island, Neb., Mrs. Nagel had lived in Washougal for the past 67 years. She was a charter member of Columbian Rebekah lodge No. 220, Washougal, and a member of the Farwell Lutheran Church in Nebraska. She is survived by one son, Harold E. Nagel; five daughters, Mrs. Margaret McKever, Mrs. A.J. (Katherine) Surbeck, Mrs. Lillian Tice, Mrs. Caroline Fredrick, and Mrs. Clark (Frieda) Kersey; a brother, Harry obermiller of Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Wickman of Nebraska and Mrs. Hal (Frieda) Rea of Washougal; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Stoller Roselight Chapel with the Rev. R.E. Kunz of St. Matthew Lutheran Church officiating. Mrs. Anna Mettler was soloist, Mrs. Lucille Harlin organist. Committal services were by Columbian Rebekah Lodge with vault interment in the Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
