Son of Oliver Adam and Rebecca Ann (Harriger) Kifer, m. Nov 12, 1912 to Sarah Jane Kirkwood. ................................................ Lester Leroy Kifer, 59, of R. 2. Clarion, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, August 29,1948, in the family home. He was born August 4, 1889, at Scotch Hill, the son of Oliver and Rebecca Kifer. He married Miss Sarah J. Kirkwood, November 12, 1912. Mr. Kifer was a member of the Clarion Methodist Church and the Clarion Lodge, No. 277, F. and A.M. Surviving are his wife; three children, Evertt E., Herbert L. and Mead R., of Clarion; four sisters, Mrs. B.H. Simpson of Scotch Hill, Mrs. W. N. Kroh of Clarion, Mrs. Lelia Clyde and Mrs. Carl Christ of Oil City; three brothers; O.W., Clearfield; R.H. Wilcox,and C.W., of Clarion. A funeral service was held at the home this, Wednesday, afternoon, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. A.C. Howe in charge.
