Bio

Helen S. Reisch , 90, of Springfield died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday at her residence. She was born Aug. 30, 1902, in Schuyler, Neb., the daughter of George and Anastasia Prokes Shonka. She married Walter S. Reisch in 1931. He died in 1971. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, George and Glen Shonka. A resident of Springfield most of her life, Mrs. Reisch was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was a volunteer at St. John's (Samaritans), St. Joseph's Home and St. Monica's Center. Surviving are two daughters, Joan Reisch, of Springfield; and Mrs. Richard (Helen) Moore, of Oak Park; a son, Walt, of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
