Bio

Mr. Griffin’s parents were Robert Lee and Etta Griffin. In 1943 he married Louise Brett. In 1947 they made their home in Ridgecrest, CA. Leroy worked for W. B. Grossadt performing heavy construction work during his first years in Ridgecrest. In 1962, he became one of the first employees for the City of Ridgecrest, whre he worked until his retirement as the Superintendent of the Street Department. Leroy was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Louise, his eldest son, Jerry and his frist great grandchild Rachel. Leroy is survived by two sons and their wives; Larry and Shyrrell and Charles and Donna both of Ridgecrest, CA; daughter and her husband Joyce and Billy Cole of Hawkins, TX; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
