Bio
Robert and Mimmie Etta (Hogan) moved the family from Hatfield, Polk Co. Ar. to Battiest. Okla. in Jan. 1915. His brother Daniel (Dan) Griffin and family had left AR first and three other brothers and one sister followed. Settle in the Battiest area. So many other family members followed, at one time nearly every one at Battiest was connected some way to the Griffin family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Robert Lee died on his 44th birthday, He had been plowing in the field all day using a horse and plow. He died of a heart attact that night after finishing work and retiring for the night. Robert's father and several of Robert brother and sister all died suddenly. So did nearly all of Robert's son's. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Robert and Minnie were parents of 9 sons, and two daughters.The daughters died at birth.
