(Her full name was Bernice Louise 'Britt' Griffin, but her stone only list it as B. Louise Griffin) OBITUARY; On the 9th of February, Louise Griffin, surrounded by her family, singing hymns went home to be with the Lord. Louise was born on November 8, 1922, in Eagletown, Okla., then moved with her husband Leroy to Ridgecrest where they have resided for 54 years. Louise was a Charter Member of the Ridgecrest Church of God and a member of the Family Bible Church (Penecostal Church of God) She was also a licensed ordained minister and preached when there was an opportunity. Her love for the Lord persuaded her to conduct Bible studies throughout her life. While raising her four (4) children, Louise worked for a short time as a Cafeteria Aid at Burroughs High School and as a Dietician for the Senior Citizen Center. Louise was preceded in death by her sister, Bee Whitehead, her brother Harold Brett, her son, Reverend Jerry Lee Griffin and a great granddaughter, Rachel Johnson. Louise is survived by her loving husband, Leroy, of 59 years; son and daughter-in-law Larry and Shyrrell Griffin of Ridgecrest; daughter and son-in-law Joyce and Billy Cole of Hawkins, Texas; and son and daughter-in-law Reverend Charles and Donna Griffin of Ridgecrest; her brother and sister-in-law, JD and Margaret Brett of Hatfield, Arkansas and brother James Brett of Wicks, Arkansas. She rejoiced in the love of her twelve (12) grandchildren and their spouses: Janice and Randy Johnson, Vernon and Pam Griffin, Jerry and Dorita Griffin, Erick Griffin, Sarah Griffin, Trisha and Byron Tani, Andrea and Rich Flores, Chuck and Ricca Griffin, Kimberly and Ben Narramore, Jason and Heather Griffin and Melissa and Shawn Stephey. God has doubly blessed her life with twenty (20) great grandchildren; Valerie and Nikki Johnson; Heather and Michael Griffin, Daniel Johnson; Nathan, Kaitlin and Emily Griffin; Billy Joe and Courtney Renee Tani; Cody Blake and Kenneth Cole Flores; Joshua, Kaleb and Nicolas Griffin; Jordan Narramore; Alyssa and Austin Griffin; and Kelsey and Brett Stephey. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 12, 2002, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Holland & Lyons Mortuary, 216 S. Norma Street, Ridgecrest, CA. The Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. at the Family Bible Church, 1435 N. Downs, Ridgecrest, CA. The family welcomes you to come share in the Joyous Going Home of their best friend and mother.
