Bio

Birth name Dotia Louella Mankins, named for her paternal grandmother Dotia/Docia Williams Mankins. She went by her middle name, which has also appeared as "Louetta." ~~~~~~ Mrs. Luella M. Johnson, of 336 E. Harlan, born in Georgetown, Tex., Aug. 27, 1877, passed away Nov. 3, 1962, in a local hospital at the age of 85 years. Funeral services will be held at the Alamo Chapels, Nov. 6, with the Rev. Duane E. Spencer of the Harlandale Methodist Church officiating, with interment in the Sunset Memorial Park. Mrs. Johnson has been a resident of San Antonio for the past 20 years and is survived by her sisters, Mrs. Earl (Alice) Ressler, and Mrs. James (Eula) Spalding; a brother, Mr. Thomas Mankin, all of Oklahoma City, Okla., several nieces and nephews.
