Her first husband, John Christian Liles, died in Sedgwick County, Kansas, in 1918 (burial unknown); she married Ernest after the 1920 census. They appear together in the 1930 census in Lincoln, Kiowa, Kansas. Williamson County Sun Georgetown, TX, June 23, 1949, p.8, col.4 Mrs. Fannie Garner Dies in Kansas. Mrs. Fannie Garner, daughter of the late Ev and Jane Mankins, died at Pratt, Kansas, Saturday, June 18. She had celebrated her eighty-first birthday June 15, at her home at Haviland, Kansas. Her sister, Mrs. Sallie Flinn, of Taft, Texas, was in Kansas for the birthday celebration. Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by six sons and one daughter; four sisters, Mrs. Sallie Flinn of Taft, Texas, Mrs. Eula Mae Spalding and Mrs. Allie Resseler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Louella Johnson of San Antonio, and by two brothers, Tom and Will Mankins of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held Monday at Haviland, Kansas.
