Bio

Mrs. Veronica Morisak, age 58 years, passed away at her home in Hillside School Community, near Hochheim, Texas, at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 1941. Mrs. Morisak united in marriage to Anton Morisak in 1907, in Shiner, Texas. About 3 years after her marriage, she and her family moved to the place where she passed away. Her husband and two children preceded her in death. It was with deepest sorrow that her many friends filled the St. Ann Catholic Church to pay their last respects to this Christian Mother. The beautiful floral tribute was evidence of the love her relatives and friends held for her. Funeral services were conducted on Monday at 9:15 a.m. at her home and at 10:15 a.m. from St. Catholic Church by Rev. H. B. Hug. Interment was made in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Morisak is survived by five sons, Charlie Morisak, Willie Morisak, Crill Morisak, Felix Morisak, and Victor Morisak, all of Route 3, Gonzales; six daughters, Francis Morisak, Route 3, Gonzales, Sister, Martha of Victoria, Janie Morisak, Route 2, Shiner, Antonie Morisak, Emily Morisak, and Monika Morisak, all of Route 3, Gonzales; six brothers, Peter Chilek of Moulton, Valentine and Rudy Chilek of Shiner, John Chilek of Floresville, Fred Chilek of Yoakum, and August Chilek of Wharton; and three sisters, Mrs. V. (Betty) Chlastak of Yoakum, and Miss Paulie and Miss Frances Chilek of Shiner. We extend sympathy to the bereaved. Shiner Gazette, Thursday, June 26, 1941.
