Bio

Anton Morisak, age 58 years, 0 months, and 17 days, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 1940, at his home on Route 3, Gonzales. Mr. Morisak was born in Lavaca County, on May 17, 1882. He was united in marriage to Veronica Chilek in the year 1908, at Dreyer, Texas. He with his family have lived at their present home for the past 23 years. Funeral services were held from the family home at 8 a.m. and at the St. Ann Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, by Father H.V. Hug and Father A.V. Maneth of Yoakum. Interment was in the St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Morisak is survived by his wife, Mrs. Veronica Morisak; five sons, Charlie, Willie, Cyrill, Felix, and Victor; and daughters, Sister Martha Morisak, Francis, Janie, Antonie, Emily, and Monica Morisak. He is survived by six brothers, Pete, John, Joe, Cyrill, Louie, and Willie; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Smelik and Mrs. Annie Netardus; and other surviving relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
