Johana "Janie" Morisak, of Yoakum, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2005. She was born on April 21, 1913, in Gonzales County, to Anton Morisak and Veronica Chilek. She was a homemaker and a Catholic. She is survived by her sisters, Monica Machacek of Shiner, and Emily Chumchal of Yoakum; and brother, Cyril Morisak of Gonzales. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sister M. Martha Morisak IWBS, Toni Valenta, Frances Morisak, Julie Morisak, and Veronica Morisak; and brothers, Charlie Morisak and Victor Morisak. A Rosary was held on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 9 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Rev. Roger Hawes officiating. Burial followed in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jim Loos, Jr., Darryl Lauer, Michael Chilek, Joe A. Machacek, Benjamin Machacek, and Gene Chumchal. Arrangements by Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum.
