Shiner Gazette, 25 Jul 1985, page 5B Bill Morisak Rites Saturday GONZALES – Willie "Bill" Morisak of Rt. 3, Gonzales, Cheapside community, died at 2:45 a.m. Friday, July 19, 1985 in Citizens Medical Center in Victoria at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 24 days. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Gonzales with the Rev. W.J. Clements officiating. Burial followed in the Ebenezer Cemetery at Cheapside. Serving as pallbearers were his nephews, Michael Machacek, Eugene and Edward Chumchal, all of Yoakum, Joe A., Eugene "Butch," Daniel, Bennie and Pat Machacek, all of Shiner; and all friends were named honorary pallbearers. Mr. Morisak, one of 11 children, was born May 25, 1918 and reared in the Hillside School community near Hochheim, Gonzales County, Texas, son of Anton and Veronika (Chilek) Morisak, both natives of Lavaca County, respectively of St. Mary's and Dreyer, Texas. He was a farmer and rancher, and was married to Gloria Jean Kruse, residing at Cheapside. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gloria Jean Morisak of Rt. 3, Gonzales; six sisters, Miss Frances Morisak of Gonzales, Sister M. Martha Morisak of Victoria, Miss Janie Morisak, Mrs. Eddie (Emily) Chumchal, both of Yoakum, Mrs. Adolph (Antonia) Valenta of North Zulch, TX, Mrs. Joe (Monica) Machacek of Shiner; three brothers, Charlie and Cyril Morisak, both of Gonzales, Victoria Morisak of San Antonio; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, June 4, 1940; his mother, June 21, 1941; and a brother, Felix Morisak, Feb. 4, 1959.
