THE HERALD COASTER November 1, 1993 Funeral services for Mary M. Vacek, 72, of Rosenberg will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. A rosary service will be 7:30 p.m., Monday at Davis Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry (FM 2218 at U.S. 59) in Rosenberg. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Father Dan Warden will officiate the services. Mary M. Vacek was born June 14, 1921 in Needville. She died Oct 30 in Rosenberg. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She married Eddie S. Vacek on Feb 22, 1960. She was preceeded in death by her parents, John and Edna Mensik, and by her first husband, Steve C. Vacek. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Eddie S. Vacek of Rosenberg; a daughter, Theresa Smiley of Houston; three sons and two daughters-in-law; John and LaNeva Vacek of Houston, Daniel and Joan Vacek of Rosenberg, and James A. Vacek of Rosenberg; a sister, Claudia Wleczyk of Rosenberg; four brothers; Marvin Mensik, Daniel Mensik, Frank Mensik, and John Mensik; and grandchildren; Steven and Phillip Vacek, Richard, Grace and Lisa Vacek, and Jennifer, Johnathan and Rebecca Vacek. Pallbearers will be Steven Vacek, Phillip Vacek, Richard Vacek, Mark Mensik, Greg Mensik, James Mensik, Teddy Mensik, and Paul Wleczyk. In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to the Holy Rosary School Endowment Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
