Mrs. Joe Marek Of Abbott Dies Mrs. Joe R. (Millie) Marek, 79, of Route 1, Abbott, died Sunday in a Hillsboro hospital. Rosary was recited Monday at Kotch Funeral Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at Abbott with Rev. W. Pechal as celebrant. Burial followed in Fatima Cemetery in Abbott. Mrs. Marek was born in West and had lived in the Abbott area for the last 56 years. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott and the Altar Society. Her husband died Jan. 10, 1967. Survivors include two sons, Albin Marek and A. D. Marek, both of Route 1, Abbott; three brothers, Will Kolar of Waco, Albert Kolar of Penelope, and John Kolar of Hillsboro; five sisters, Mrs. Joe D. Pustejovsky and Mrs. Frank Divin, both of Hillsboro, Miss Carrie Kolar of Austin, Miss Wilma Kolar of Waco, and Mrs. Annie Muehlstein of Stamford; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Wesley Kolar, Dan Pustejovsky, Norman Divin, Joe Hynek, Joe Mach and John Kaska. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 86, No. 17, Edition 1, Thursday, April 29, 1976, page 6.
