Hillsboro Reporter February 2003 JOHN KOLAR Mr. John Vincil Kolar, 87, of Hillsboro died Saturday, February 22, at his residence. He was born, October 2, 1915 in West, son of John Vincil and Marie Kostorisc Kolar. He grew up in West and attended school at Alligator Creek. September 22, 1941 he married Marie Lillie Kutach. In 1946, they moved to Hillsboro where they were residents for 57 years. He farmed until his retirement and was a member of KJT in West and Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church of Hillsboro. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters; and one son, David J. Kolar. Survivors include: his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Thersa and Steve Moorhouse of Corsicana and Monica and Alan Wiseman of Melbourne, Florida; one sister, Agnes Divin of Temple; and four grandchildren. Rosary was recited at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 23, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Mercy with Rev. A.J. LaFleur, O.S.A., as celebrant. Interment followed at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott.
