Mrs. Johnny (Anne) Muehlstein, Sr., age 81 of Stamford, Texas passed away Sunday evening, October 13, 1991 in an Abilene hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West, with Rev. Stephen White as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mrs. Muehlstein was born September 4, 1910 in Hill County. She married Johnny Muehlstein June 24, 1935 in West and moved to Stamford in 1942 where she has lived for the past 49 years. She was a housewife, a farmer's partner, baker of the best kolaches and a caring mother and wife. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, St. Ann's Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, a 55 year member of the K.J.Z.T. Society and a member of the SPJST Lodge, all of Stamford. Mrs. Muehlstein is survived by her husband; two sons, Johnny Muehlstein, Jr. of Grapevine and Larry Muehlstein of Bedford; two daughters, Georgia Ann Hughes of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mildred Powell of Georgetown; two brothers, Albert Kolar of West and J.V. Kolar of Hillsboro; two sisters, Agnes Divin of Wimberly and Wilma Kolar of West; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Max Moudy, Daniel Powell, Kurt Muehlstein, Keyle Muehlstein, Andy Muehlstein, Aaron Muehlstein, Michael Hughes, Kevin Hughes, Mark Hughes and Larry Hughes.
