Wilma J. Kolar, age 87 of West, passed away Tuesday morning, October 2, 2001 in West Rest Haven. Rosary was recited 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2:15 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed Krasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Miss Kolar was born February 14, 1914 in Hill County. She attended Alligator Creek School in Hill County and Four C College in Waco. Miss Kolar lived in Waco for nine years, where she was employed as a LVN at Providence Hospital. She lived in Houston for three years, where she worked as a LVN doing private duty nursing. She moved back to West in 1973. Miss Kolar was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11 for over 50 years and the Catholic Daughters of America Sacred Heart Court No. 829 of West. Survivors include her brother, John V. Kolar and his wife Marie of Hillsboro; one sister, Agnes Divin of Temple and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Joe Frank Divin, Charlie Kolar, Norman Divin, Johnny Mynar, Edwin Powell and Earnest Divin. Honorary pallbearers were the Catholic Daughters of America Sacred Heart Court No. 829 of West. Kotch Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
