Herald Coaster, June 23, 2005: Funeral services for Lonnie John Kettler, 84, 2005 of Rosenberg are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005 at the Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Lonnie was born Nov. 9, 1920 in Beasley and passed away June 21, 2005 at OakBend Medical Center in Richmond. He was baptized and married at Friedens-Kirche United Methodist Church of Christ in Beasley. He worked at Ethyl Dow for 23 years and Fort Bend County for 11 years, retiring in 1988. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roy Kettler. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Engelhardt Kettler; three children: Dalton Kettler; Kenneth Kettler and wife, Theresa; and Harvey Kettler and wife, Joan; seven grandchildren: Judy Kettler; Jeff Kettler and wife, Lana; Bridget Wray and husband, Patrick; Paul Kettler and wife, Abby; Corinne Patterson and husband, Jim; Monica Schneider and husband, Scott; and Lance Kettler. Also, seven great-grandchildren, Chris Wray, Cameron Wray, and Katharae, Alethea, Javan, Macaira and Cainon Patterson; sisters, Edna Rose and Emily Marek of Rosenberg, Ella Mae Hodges of Woodville, Hilda Fae Sabrsula of Needville and Alfred Kettler of Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeff Kettler, Paul Kettler, Patrick Wray, Lance Kettler, Jim Patterson, Scott Schneider and Chris Wray. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to St. John's United Church of Christ, 1518 Brazos St., Rosenberg, Texas 77471.
