Fort Bend Herald, September 9, 2005: Funeral services for Edna K. Rose, 91, of Beasley, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors, Inc., in Rosenberg with the Rev. Michael Doane officiating. Burial will follow in Frieden's United Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 at Garmany & Carden Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Mrs. Rose died Sept. 8, 2005 at Fort Bend Healthcare Center in Rosenberg. She was born July 28, 1914 in Needville. She was baptized at Immanuel United Church in Needville, and confirmed at Frieden's United Church of Christ in Beasley. She was a member of Frieden's UCC. She was a homemaker and was married for 52 years to her husband, Lee Roy Rose, who preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother, Alfred Kettler of Richmond; sisters: Emma Lee Marek and husband Edwin, of Rosenberg, Ella Mae Hodges and husband Cecil, of Needville, and Hilda Fae Sabrsula of Needville; sisters-in-law, Georgie Kettler and Dorothy Kettler, both of Rosenberg; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emma Kettler; brothers, Roy Kettler and Lonnie Kettler; one nephew and one great-nephew; and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Kettler. Serving as pallbearers are Robert Stasney, Gary Enax, Troy Kettler, Harvey Kettler Walter Himly, and Delton Kettler.
