Fort Bend Herald, October 10, 2006: Funeral services for Dorothy Kettler, 78, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with the Revs. Dale Staggemeier and Jim Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Dorothy was born Oct. 30, 1927 in Needville, to Edmund Engelhardt and Antonia Legler Engelhardt. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Needville. She was a LVN with Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital retiring after 34 years of service. Dorothy passed away Oct. 8, 2006 in Sugar Land. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lonnie John Kettler; her parents, Edmund and Antonia Engelhardt; siblings: Emilie Mueck, Bertha Kaack, Thelka Dabelgott, Elfriede Engelhardt, Veleska Meyer, Juanita Engelhardt, Verna Dell Tielke, Herbert Engelhardt, and Rudolph Engelhardt. She is survived by her sons: Dalton Kettler, Kenneth Kettler and wife, Theresa, and Harvey Kettler and wife, Joan; brother, Lloyd Engelhardt and wife, Margie; sisters, Nowell Brandt, and Gloria Zwahr and husband, Jimmie; grandchildren: Judy Kettler, Jeff Kettler and wife, Lana, Bridget Wray and husband, Patrick, Paul Kettler and wife, Abby, Corinne Patterson and husband, Jim, Monica Schneider and husband, Scott, and Lance Kettler. She also is survived by great-grandchildren: Chris Wray, Cameron Wray, Katharae, Alethea, Javan, Macaira and Cainan Patterson, and Baby Boy Kettler due in February; sisters-in-law: Emily Marek and husband, Ed, Hilda Faye Sabrsula, Ella Mae Hodges and husband, Speedy, Georgie Kettler; along with many nieces, nephews and many friends. Pallbearers are Jeff Kettler, Paul Kettler, Patrick Wray, Lance Kettler, Jim Patterson, Scott Schneider and Chris Wray. Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Kaack, Lloyd Engelhardt, Albin Tielke and Jimmie Zwahr.
