Herald Coaster, March 18, 1996: Funeral services for Frances Richter, 70, of Rosenberg, will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 2 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Reverend Don Kolkmeier will officiate the services. She was born on March 15, 1918 in Weimar to Edward Janecka and Sophie Anders Janecka. Mrs. Richter passed away on March 17, 1996 in Rosenberg. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Sophie Janecka, and a brother, Rudolph Janecka. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bennie Richter, Sr. of Rosenberg; a daughter, Barbara J. Kunz and her husband, Larry, of Rosenberg; a son, Bennie Richter, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Rosenberg; sisters, Lillie Sbrusch of Beasley and Edna Janik of Rosenberg; a brother, Joe Janecka and his wife, Christine, of Richmond; grandchildren, Leslie Claire Richter of Rosenberg and her fiance, Matt Benbow, Ann Marie Richter of Rosenberg, Travis Wayne Richter of Rosenberg, and Marty Joe Kunz and his wife, Julie, of Houston; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Laine and Jordan Marie Kunz of Houston. Pallbearers are Joe Janecka, Ervin Lee Straznicky, Travis Wayne Richter, Marty Joe Kunz, Delbert Gajevsky, and Edward Steinocher. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg. Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18, in the Stateroom at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Boulevard (FM-2218 and Hwy. 59) in Rosenberg.
