Bio

Herald Coaster, May 30, 1971: Rudolph Janecka, 60, of Rosenberg, died Friday afternoon at Gulf Coast Medical Center. He had operated Fatty's Garage in Needville until his retirement about a year ago, when he moved to Rosenberg. Janecka was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Needville, Sons of Hermann, S.P.J.S.T. Lodge, the Needville Fire Department, and was a charter member of the Needville Lions Club. Survivors include his widow, Elma; daughter, Kathleen Gajevsky of Needville; brother, Joe Janecka of Rosenberg; father, Edward of Needville; sisters, Mrs. Edna Janik of Pecos, Mrs. Lillie Sbrusch of Beasley, and Mrs. Francis Richter of Rosenberg; and two granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Needville, with the Rev. Richard Avery and the Rev. Don Kolkmeier officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. Garmany & Co. is in charge of arrangements.
