Fort Bend Herald, April 21, 2014: Funeral services for Bennie William Richter, Sr., 94, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. John Huegel will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Bennie was born on August 17, 1919 in New Wehdem, Austin County, Texas to Otto and Mary (Glaeser) Richter. He was a long-time member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Rosenberg. Bennie was a member of AARP as well as several dancing clubs in the Sealy, Wallis and Rosenberg area. Bennie enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid gardener. He passed away on April 18, 2014 in Wharton. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Janecka) Richter; parents, Otto and Mary Richter. He is survived by his son, Bennie Richter, Jr. and wife, Sharon; daughter, Barbara J. Kunz and husband, Larry; special friend and dancing partner, Eleanor Ernest; grandchildren, Marty Kunz and wife, Julie, Leslie Dulin and husband, Don, Travis Richter and wife, Alana, and Ann Goodson; great grandchildren, Taylor Kunz, Jordan Kunz, Noah Kunz, Tanner Dulin, Jake Dulin, Jennifer Dulin, Kate Jameson and husband, Bonham, Heather Dulin, Dakota Goodson and Dylan Richter; great-great granddaughter, Emma Jameson; along with other family and friends.
