Bio

Herald Coaster, May 7, 1973: Funeral services for Edward W. Janecka, 89, of Needville, a longtime Fort Bend County resident, were scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with the Rev. Glen Wearden officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Gethsemane East at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Garmany & Co. Funeral Home Chapel in Rosenberg. Mr. Janecka died Sunday at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Survivors include a son, Joe Janecka of Richmond; three daughters, Mrs. Charlie (Lillie) Sbrusch of Beasley, Mrs. Bennie (Frances) Richter of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Robert (Edna) Janik of Pecos; one brother, Klement Janecka of Weimar; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call by the chapel after 4:30 today.
