Napoleon "Tut" Bonaparte Cannon was born on February 8th, 1847 in Benton County, Missouri. He married Cynthia Belle Conrad on March 30th, 1872 in Henry County, Missouri. Cynthia was born in March of 1852 in Indiana. Napoleon was living in Johnson County, Kansas with his sister, Alice Anna Cannon Jenkins and her family on the 1870 census, he was listed as a school teacher. By 1880, he was with his family farming in Pettis County, Missouri. Napoleon and his family later moved back to Henry County, where he farmed for awhile before moving into the town of Windsor. There he operated The Cannon and Company Mercantile business, owned a pop bottling business and was the township assessor. By the 1920 census, Napoleon and Belle were back on the family farm in Springfield township with Napoleon's brother, Arthur. Napoleon died on October 4th, 1931 in Henry County and Cynthia died in 1928 in Henry County. They are buried at Laurel Oak Cemetery in Windsor, Missouri. Napoleon and Cynthia had four children: Alice Burta, Harley Lee, Theodore "Theo" Harold/Henry and Herbert Conrad Cannon. The Windsor Review, Thursday, October 8th, 1931. N.B. Cannon Dead. N.B. Cannon was born in Benton County, February 8th, 1847. His parents, John R. and Ferbia Cannon came from Grove County, Kentucky (should be Graves County) in 1838, living in the Fristoe neighborhood. In 1854 his father entered the old home place on which the family have lived almost continuously. The father died, leaving the mother with seven sons and two daughters, N.B. being the last of the nine. He taught many years in Henry County and in Kansas, attending Baker University during the summer months, after walking many miles to school. He was married to Cynthia Isabel Conrad on March 31st, 1872. Moving to Windsor in 1881, he was engaged for many years in the mercantile business. He has been for some forty years a member of the Windsor Baptist church, teaching for a long time the Bible Class. Since the death of his wife, he has made his home with his children, Mrs. F.E. Means and H.C. Cannon. Two boys, T.H. and H.L. having preceded him to the grave. Always cheerful and uncomplaining, fond of his family and friends, he will be sadly missed by those whom he leaves. Surviving are the son and daughter, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral conducted by Rev. Geo. Humphrey, pastor of the Windsor Baptist Church was held at the family home, Sunday, October 5th at 2 p.m. and burial in Laurel Oak Cemetery.
