Bio

Oscar Layfeyette Cannon was born on 27 August 1849 in Henry County, Missouri. He was the son of John Cannon and Ferbis Farmer Cannon. On the 1870 census for Dallas, Texas, Osker L. Cannon, age 21, born in Missouri and his wife, Sarah E. Hall Cannon, age 14, born in Georgia, living with James D. Cannon and his wife, Mary J. Cannon. Osker L. and his wife were married in April of 1870. Oscar died on 3 November 1870 in Dallas County, Texas and is buried in Sowers Cemetery, Irving, Dallas County, Texas. Uncle of Willie L. Cannon also buried in Sowers Cemetery.
