Funeral services for Lillie A. Miller, 93, of Megargel will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St.Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Megargel with Rev. Msgr. Frank S. Miller of Abbott officiating. She died Tuesday, Feb 21, 1995, in a Dallas hospital. Born September 19, 1901, in Ammannsville, Lillie Cernosek traveled by train with her family in 1908 to Olney then by covered wagon to Megargel where she was a lifetime resident. She and Jerry R. Miller were married September 21, 1921, in Megargel. He died April 18, 1987. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church, it's Alter Society, KJZT Society #64 and the Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas. Survivors include three sons, Jerry Frank Miller of Megargel, Henry A. Miller of Dallas and Richard S. Miller of Ennis; three daughters, Agnes Gentry and Rosie Kulhanek, both of Megargel, and Helen Shaffer of Wichita Falls; one brother Joe Cernosek of Graham; four sisters, Martha Shelly of Olney, Agnes Kovar of Rosenburg, Ann Shimek of Lubbock and Mary Sumbera of Abilene; 25 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and six great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by another daughter, Georgia in 1930. Burial will be in Megargel Catholic Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
