Bio

son of Joseph F. Cernosek - Aloisie Balcar [pronounced Black] Mass was celebrated in Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Graham for Joseph "Joe" Anton Cernosek, 93, of Graham. He and Martha Holub were married 1 May 1928 at Bomarton, Texas. Cernosek moved to Graham in 1944 from Olney. He and his wife began Cernosek grocery business in 1944 and continued there until his retirement. He worked as a clerk for Oliver's Drug Store for several years. Cernosek was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by one son - Wesley Joseph Cernosek in 1980. Survived by his wife; one daughter - Marcella Ford of Graham; one son - Jimmy Cernosek of Graham; three sisters - Ann Shimek of Lubbock; Martha Shelley of Olney; Agnes Kovar; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
