Bio

Martha was the daughter of Joseph Frank Cernosek and Aloisie (Balcar) Cernosek. She and Richard Albert Shelley were married October 14, 1942 in San Rafael, California. Martha and Richard moved to Olney in 1948 from Fort Worth, Texas. He preceded her in death February 5, 2002. Martha owned and operated Shelley's Beauty Shop in Olney for approximately 10 years. She was a member of the St. Theresa's Catholic Church, the St. Theresa's Altar Society, the Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas-KJZT Society in Megargel for many years and later transferred to the Seymour Society #86. Survivors at time of death included two sons, Mike Shelley and his wife Avril of Seattle, Washington and David Shelley of Olney, Texas; one sister, Ann Shimek of Lubbock, Texas; one granddaughter, Amanda Shelley and one great-granddaughter, Whitney Fredrick.
