Bio
Funeral services for Jerry Robert Miller were held Monday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Megargel with pastor, Rev. Harry Fisher officiating. He died at his home, April 18. Born April 3, 1895, in Burleson County, he had lived in Megargel most of his life. He and Lillie Cernosek were married September 21, 1921, in Megargel. He was a retired farmer and oilfield worker, a member of Knights of Columbus in Megargel, the American Legion in Archer City, Veterans of World War I of Dallas , and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Dallas. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Jerry Frank Miller of Megargel, Henry A. Miller of Dallas and Richard S. Miller of Ennis; three daughters, Agnes Gentry and Rosie Kulhanek, both of Megargel, and Helen Shaffer of Wichita Falls; three brothers, Frank Miller of Abbott, Joe Miller of Millsap and John Miller of Austin; 25 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
