Veteran of World War I - TX Pvt Btry D343 Field Arty The following obituary was published in the Herald Coaster on September 25, 1960: "Willie Kramer" Funeral services for Willie Kramer, 67, of Rosenberg were held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23rd, from the E&R Church in Needville, Rev. Ed H. Welige officiated. Mr. Kramer passed away Thursday in a Houston hospital where he had been confined for the past days. He was a veteran of World War I. Also was a member of the American Legion Post No. 271 of Rosenberg. He had lived in Fort Bend County about 55 years and was a member of the E&R Church. He married Alma Deiss on November 26th, 1919. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Kramer of Rosenberg; three sons, Alvin Kramer of Needville, Edwin Kramer of Richmond, Melvin Kramer of Needville; four daughters, Mrs. Ladgie Fajkus of Rosenberg, Mrs. Freeman Zwahr of Richmond, Mrs. Oscar Jalowy of Houston, Mrs. Joe Skotnik of LaWard; one sister, Miss Bertha Kramer of Needville; three brothers, Louis and Gus of Needville and Fritz of Sealy; and 17 grandchildren. Interment was in the Needville Public Cemetery under the direction of Garmany and Company Funeral Directors of Needville. * * * Xxxxx Willie Kramer married Alma Deiss on November 20, 1919, in Needville, Texas.
