Bio

The following obituary was published in the Rosenberg Herald on August 20, 1926: "W. M. Kramer Dies Suddenly at Home" Early Tuesday morning, at his home near Needville, occurred the death of Mr. W. M. Kramer, as the result of heart failure. At the time of his death, he was 66 years of age, and had been in good health, and his death was a severe shock for his relatives and friends. Mr. Kramer was a native of Germany, but had been a resident of Fort Bend County for the past 20 years, where by his pleasing disposition and readiness to do his part in everything for the upbuilding of his community and county, he won a host of sincere friends. He was one of the county's most prominent and prosperous farmers, and in his passing, his family has lost a kind and loving husband and father, and the community, a worthy citizen. Deceased is survived by his wife, five sons, one daughter and several grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. J. R. Vilt, of Needville, officiating. Interment was made in the Needville Cemetery, the funeral was largely attended by many sorrowing relatives and friends and the floral offerings were many and beautiful, attesting to the high esteem in which he was held. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Clark Funeral Parlor of Rosenberg. * * *
