The following obituary was published in the Herald Coaster on June 27, 1980: "Kramer Funeral Rites Held" Funeral services were held Saturday for Gus H. Kramer, 82, of Needville, who died at his home June 26. Services were from Immanuel United Church of Christ, in Needville, with the Rev. Richard Avery officiating. Mr. Kramer was born in Washington County and was a farmer all of his life. He is survived by his wife, Selma of Needville; daughter Mrs. Annetta Zwahr of Needville; two sons, Elton and Wilburn, both of Needville; sister, Miss Bertha Kramer, of Needville; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of Garmany and Carden Funeral Directors of Needville. * * * Xxxxxxx Gustav Heinrich Wilhelm Kramer was baptized November 14, 1897, at Zion Lutheran Church in Zionsville, Washington County, Texas.
