News Telegram January 1986 Funeral services for E.A. (Buck) Eppars, 71 of Como, were held at 2pm Monday in the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev W.O. Watwood and the Rev M.C. Allen officiating. Burial followed in the Connor Cemetery in Dike. Mr Eppars died at 3:50am Saturday in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born July 30, 1914, in Dike, the son of John and Martha Thomason Eppars. He married Gladys Young May 26, 1932 in Durant, OK. She survives. He was a retired baker and dairyman. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs Church of God. Other survivors include two sons, Gaylon Eppars of Arlington and Johnny Eppars of Sulphur Springs. A daughter Jan Hettich of Como; seven sisters, Ruby Orren of Mt Vernon, Ruth Neal of Chickasha, OK, Reba Bell of Commerce, Mozelle Davidson, Oleta Jones, Sue Chapman and Georgia Emmons all of Sulphur Springs, 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. HE was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
