A graveside service for Gaylon Eppars, age 77, of Cleburn, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2011, at Conner Cemetery, with Rev. Ray Evers officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Donnie Eppars, Rocky Eppars, Zaine Eppars, Tyler Eppars, Steve Eppars and Matt Eppars. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Gaylon Eppars passed away Wednesday afternoon , February 9, 2011 at Walls Harris Methodist Hospital in Cleburn. He was born in Dike on April 25, 1934, the son of E. A. "Buck" Eppars and Gladys (Young) Eppars. He married Reba Box in Dallas on August 23, 1952; she survives. Mr. Eppars was a retired assemblyman for General Motors and a member of Assembly of God Church. Other survivors include: three sons, Don Eppars of Joshua, Dennis Eppars of Arlington and Rocky Eppars of Cleburne; sister, Jan Hettich of Como, grandchildren, Zaine Eppars, Tyler Eppars and Matt Eppars and great-grandchildren, Ivey Eppars and Logan Eppars. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnny Eppars
