Ruth Younse Chapman Arnold Roscoe - Ruth Younse Chapman Arnold, 95, of Roscoe, passed away Friday, March 28, 2003 at Roscoe Healthcare Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday , March 31, 2003, at First Baptist Church in Roscoe with Rev. Rick Willis officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home. Ruth was born March 19, 1908 in Quitman, Louisiana. She married J. C. Chapman in August, 1924 in Abilene. She married Lee Rhodes Arnold on December 31, 1933 in Roscoe. She was a homemaker, a member of First Baptist Church and had worked for Vicki Joyce as a saleslady for 10 years. Ruth lived in Roscoe most of her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J. C. Chapman on July 9, 1932, and her second husband, Lee Rhodes Arnold in August, 1976. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Deborah Ann Teaff McIntire. Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Jo Chapman Summers and husband Charles of Roscoe, and Ruth Ann Arnold Teaff and husband N. B. of Roscoe; two sons, John Charles Arnold of Roscoe and J. C. Chapman and wife Joy of Amarillo; three sisters, Jewel Richardson of Abilene, Cleo Parrott of Roscoe and Theo Scott of Stamford; seven grandchildren, Dickie Summers and wife Shirley of Wylie, Lee Summers and wife Donna of Loraine, Pamela Chapman Freeman and husband Mark of Needville, Becky Chapman Miller and husband Chuck of Rockwall, Ricky Chapman and wife Kathy of Weatherford, Kenneth Teaff and wife Kelley of Plano, Michael Teaff and wife Helen of Gilmer; nine great-grandchildren, Kimberly Summers Cauthron and husband Bruce of Crawford, Chuck Summers of Warrensburg, Mo., Machelle Summers of the Persian Gulf, Kaysi Summers Woodard of Loraine, Scott Lockhart of Rockwall, Lindsey Kendricks of Needville, Ricci Miller of Rockwall, Conner Teaff of Plano, Chloe Teaff of Plano; six great-great-grandchildren, Tiffani Cauthron of Crawford, Shannon, Wayne and Kayli Woodward of Cleveland, Alabama, Brett Davis of Nashville, TN, Aaron Summers of Victoria; and one great-great-great-grandchild, Shayli Ann Cathron of Crawford. Pallbearers will be Robert Summers, Billy Joe McIntire, Cliff Burnett, Charles Ratliff, Eddie Kirby and J. D. Rowan.
