Daughter of Charles R. Younse & Valarie Frazier Younse. She was one of 12 children. Wife of Homer Scott - M. 12/23/1929 in Stamford, TX Preceded in death by her husband; 7 sisters; and 3 brothers. Survived by one daughter, Letha McGrew and husband Oren, and 2 grandsons, Scott McGrew and Stacey McGrew and wife Paula, all of Abilene. Theo is also survived by her twin sister, Cleo Parrott of Roscoe, and numerous nieces and nephews. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Theo Scott, 97, died Sunday, December 23, 2007, in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Stamford, Texas, officiated by Rev. Allan Cartrite. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Stamford, Texas, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. The family will received friends at a visitation 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at the funeral home in Abilene. The family will also visit with friends at First Baptist Church in Stamford on Wednesday from 12 noon until the service time. Theo Scott was born on December 5, 1910, in Princeton, Texas. She was one of twelve children born to Charles R Younse and Valarie Frazier Younse. The family moved to Abilene in 1919, and Theo attended school at Hamby. In 1927, Theo moved to Stamford, Texas, where she met and married Homer Scott on December 23, 1929. Theo Scott owned and operated Hi-Fashion Dress Shoppe from 1958 to 1978, and worked part time at Stamford Memorial Hospital from 1978 to 1987. After retirement she enjoyed sewing and collecting dolls. She was a longtime member of Stamford Baptist Church where she had been a teacher in Children's Sunday School, and actively participated in Senior Fellowshippers and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She is survived by one daughter, Letha McGrew and husband, Oren, and two grandsons, Scott McGrew and Stacey McGrew and wife Paula, all of Abilene. Theo is also survived by her twin sister, Cleo Parrott of Roscoe, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Scott; seven sisters, and three brothers.
