Valentine Rejcek Rites Held In Penelope Valentine Rejcek, 57, of Penelope, died at 5:25 a.m. Friday, December 2. Funeral services were held Monday, December 5, at 9 a.m. at the Penelope Catholic church. Father Hruby and Father Pechal officiated. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery, West. The Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the residence. Aderhold Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral. Survivors are his wife, Christine Rejcek; his sons, George and Albert of Dallas, Edmond and Lawrence of Penelope, his daughters, Lucille Kubala of Seymour, Willie Mae Kallus of Columbus, Ga., Josephine Rejcek, Bernice Rejcek and Geraldine Rejcek, all of Penelope; his brothers, Anton Rejcek of Aquilla, John Rejcek of Abbott, and Florian and Joe Rejcek of West; two sisters, Mary Picha and Bessie Kaska of West, and eight grandchildren. Valentine R. Rejcek was born in Texas on February 14, 1898. He made his home in Penelope for the last thirty-three years where he was employed as a blacksmith and carpenter. His parents were Raymond Rejcek and Christine Konecny, both from Czechoslovakia. The pallbearers were Edward Makovy, Henry Beseda, Jodie Rejcek, Willie Rejcek, Rudolph Rejcek and Cyril Marek.
