John F. Rejcek, age 86, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 1981, in a Waco hospital. He was born February 8, 1984, in Moravia, Czechoslovakia. His family landed in Galveston, Texas, when Mr. Rejcek was one year old. They settled in Praha and Flatonia, Texas. Mr. Rejcek was married to Agnes Kohut of West, Texas. Mrs. Rejcek passed away at the age of 56 on February 1, 1954. This union produced 16 children, all living except one, Johnny Frank, who died at the age of eight years on November 8, 1941. Mr. Rejcek is survived by sons: Jerome and Raymond of Dallas, Texas, Jody of Dorchester, Texas, Alphonse and Felix of Houston, Texas, Willie of Abbott, Texas, Edward and Leo of Ennis, Texas, Rudolph of Arlington, Texas. Surviving daughters are: Willie Mae Veselka, Waco, Texas, Rudy Gaiser, Dallas, Texas, Louise Cooper, Houston, Texas, Mary Miller of Leroy, Texas. He is also survived by 59 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one sister, Bessie Kaska of West. Mr. Rejcek had been a blacksmith nearly all of his life before he retired and enjoyed the life of a happy musician, having taught nearly all of his children to play musical instruments. His life has been very content around all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Rejcek has been in failing health since October, 1969, when he suffered a massive heart attack and has been hospitalized several times since, but the love and prayers of his family and best of friends plus his abiding faith in God has always pulled him through. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and K.J.T. Society of Abbott, Texas. Rosary was at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. Mass is at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Pallbearers are Raymond John Rejcek, Carl Cooper and Alan Rejcek all of Houston, Ronald Veselka of Waco, Larry Gaiser, Ernest Janecka, Jr. and James Albert Miller of Dallas, and Jerry Rejcek, Ennis, Texas.
