Bio

Mrs. Bessie R. Kaska, 88, of West died Sunday at a local hospital. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West with Monsignor George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery. The rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the Kotch Funeral Home West Chapel. Mrs. Kaska was born May 25, 1896, in Fayette County. She lived in the West area for 78 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the KJZT Society No. 11. She was married to Frank Kaska. He died in 1925. Survivors include three sons, Anton Kaska of Hurst, Frank Kaska of Fort Worth and Henry Kaska of Weatherford; a daughter, Henrietta Urban of Bellmead; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Frank Kaska, Anthony Urban, Terry Kaska, David Kaska, Richard Urbanovsky and Jimmy Pond. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 94, No. 26, Ed. 1, Thursday, June 28, 1984, page 7.
