Bio

Mr. Raymond Rejcek, age 79, of West passed away Monday, February 11, 1985 at West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. B.J. Zientek. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Rejcek was born August 21, 1905 in West and had lived in the West, Irene and Hillsboro area all his life. He married Rosie M. Bazant in West on October 29, 1929. He retired from farming in 1979. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. He is survived by his wife, Rosie of West; two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Evelyn) Hromadka of West and Mrs. Robert (Doris) Smajstrla of Burleson; three brothers, Anton V. Rejcek of West, Louis Rejcek of Covington and Bob Rejcek of Bynum. He was preceded in death by another brother, V.P. Rejcek who died in 1979; four sisters, Mrs. Albert Sulak of Hillsboro, Mrs. V.S. Grmela of Abbott, Mrs. Mary Pavelka and Mrs. Louis Tichavsky, both of West; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bobby Smajstrla, Eddie Smajstrla, Mark Smajstrla, James Smajstrla, Billy Hromadka and Anthony Rejcek.
