Bio

Rosie Marie Rejcek, age 82, of West, passed away early Friday morning, April 30, 1993 at a Hillsboro nursing home. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. A rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ed Karasek. Mrs. Rejcek was born October 8, 1910 in West, the daughter of Emil and Vincencie Bazant. She married Raymond F. Rejcek on October 29, 1929 in West. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1985. She was a housewife and homemaker and also a farmer. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Doris) Smajstrla of Burleson and Mrs. William (Evelyn) Hromadka of West; one brother, Rudolph Bazant of West; three sisters, Bertha Klish of West and Mary Grones and Ann Elliott, both of Dallas; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bobby Smajstrla, Eddie Smajstrla, Mark Smajstrla, Rick Smajstrla, William Wayne Hromadka, Billy Nors, David Scott and B.J. Nors.
