Ludvik Zapalac Of West, Dies Ludvik F. Zapalac, 82, of West died Tuesday afternoon, October 10, 1978, in West Community Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, the Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mr. Zapalac was born near Elk, and lived in the West area most of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 2305 and KJT Society No. 31. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Zapalac married Albina Vanek Nov. 22, 1920, at West, and she died Sept. 28, 1973. Survivors Include three sons, Jerry Zapalac of West, Raymond Zapalac of Dallas and Luddie Zapalac of Garland; two daughters, Mrs. Avery (Martha) Dowdy of Irving and Mrs. Jack (Mary Ann) Adams of Carrollton; three brothers, John Zapalac of Abbott and August Zapalac and Henry Zapalac, both of West; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Albina) Kuchar of Ennis; and six grandchildren.
