Mrs. Zapalac, 73, Dies Mrs. Ludvik (Albina) Zapalac, 73, of Route 1, West, died Friday night in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Saturday at Kotch Funeral Home in West. Requiem mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Zapalac was born in Praha and had lived in the West area 65 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, the Altar-Rosary Society and KJZT Lodge No. 11. She married Ludvik Zapalac Nov. 22, 1920, in West. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jerry Zapalac of West, Raymond Zapalac of Dallas and Luddie Zapalac of Garland; two daughters, Mrs. Avery (Martha) Dowdy of Irving and Mrs. Jack (Mary Ann) Adams of Farmers Branch; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Crenshaw of Moody and Mrs. Mollie Semrad of Dallas; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Edwin Nors, Albert Hornak, Ernest Holecek, Ernest Kolar, Frankie Kapavik, Jerry Stanislav and Henry Rendek.
