Mrs. Anna Zapalac Passes Away Here Mrs. Anna Zapalac, age 70, a resident of this section for many years, died at her home at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, January 17th. Funeral services were held at the home at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and at the Catholic church at 9 a.m., Rev. Frank Dobias officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Zapalac was born in Czechoslovakia, coming with her parents to the United States at the age of 16. She had been a resident of this community for the past 24 years. Surviving are the husband, Jos. Zapalac; 2 daughters, Mrs. Albina Kuchar, Dallas and Miss Mary Zapalac, Dallas; 5 sons, John, Ludvik, Henry August of West and Emil of Galveston; one sister, Miss Julia Vykukal of Dallas; one brother, Frank Vykukal of Wharton; 21 grandchildren.
