Mrs. John Marek's Requiem Mass Set For Friday Mrs. John (Antonia) Marek, 69, of West died at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday in a Hillsboro hospital. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption with Re. George Doskocil and Rev. W. Pechal officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and the St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court 829 of West; and the SPJST Lodge No. 6, Cottonwood. Surviving are her husband, John Marek of West; one son, Raymond Marek of San Antonio; four brothers, Jim Smajstrla of Waco, C.J. Smajstrla of Seymour, Floyd Smajstrla of Abbott; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Pavlas, Mrs. Annie Snapka and Mrs. John (Bettie) Zapalac, all of Abbott, and Mrs. August (Millie) Zapalac of West; and two grandchildren.
