Bio
Lillie B. Marak, 84, of West died Thursday, July 24, 2003 at a Waco hospital. She was born December 1, 1918 in West, daughter of the late C. Y. and Annie Bezdek Sulak, and had lived there all of her life. She worked as a nurse aide at West Community Hospital for several years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, KJZT Society #11 and Catholic Daughters Court #829. She married Alfred Matthew Marak October 7, 1940 in West. She was preceded in death by 10 siblings. Survivors include: her husband; one son, Sonny Marak and wife, Debbie, of Heath; three daughters, Virginia Zatopek and husband, Royce, of West and Janice Marak and Carol Marak, both of Austin; two sisters, Polly Gaidusek and Lucille Hykel, both of West; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Rosary was recited at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 26, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Church with Rev.
